Silhouettes

With Silhouettes, a project encompassing neon sculptures, terracotta sculptures, video and performance, Fanny Allié establishes a dialogue between her installations and a site brimming with spirituality, St. Eustache Church. Traces and memory are central to Fanny Allié’s artistic concerns. Her work explores the notion of immateriality of the body by emphasizing its shapes and silhouette. Echoing the aura of the location, she brings to the fore the mystery of the body and of the spirit, installing within the church a discreet light which invites one to contemplate and remain silent. In this way, Silhouettes took on another dimension during the Advent period.
